NAPHSIS Testifies Before Ways & Means Committee
On February 2nd, NAPHSIS had the opportunity to provide the House Committee on Ways and Means, Subcommittee on Social Security with a written statement for the record on vital records and, specifically, the reporting and electronic verification of deaths. 2011 Model Law Revision Homepage
NAPHSIS has added a homepage for materials related to the ongoing efforts to revise the Model State Vital Statistics Act and Regulations. On this page can be found background information and downloadable files, including the current draft revised Model Law, a Comments Form, and PowerPoint presentations delivered in the National Webinars occurring in January of 2011. Research Review Process for Access to NCHS Data
Access to, and use of, national vital records-based data sets from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) requires the approval of NAPHSIS. The NAPHSIS review process is conducted prior to the NCHS review and includes both federal and non-federal requests for restricted data files. This page of our Website contains information on the review process, criteria, and evaluation outcomes for requests to use NCHS vital statistics data.
